Event Recap: Supporting Aftercare and Recovery

JES Foundation Repair was honored to sponsor this year’s 20th annual McShin Foundation Recovery Fest on September 7, 2024. The fundraising event featured vendors, food, music, and speakers, and supported the McShin Recovery Resource Foundation. The Recovery Community Organization (RCO) provides resources, including halfway houses, transitional recovery houses, medical detox services, substance abuse rehab, and aftercare for individuals in the Richmond area.

The McShin Foundation, founded by John Shinholser and Carol McDaid, began offering recovery services in the basement of Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church in 2004. Today, the Foundation operates a 15,000-square-foot recovery center in Richmond, VA, providing over 150 resident beds in the surrounding areas. They support individuals as they begin their recovery journey, one day at a time.
